I never heard this phrase before, but I think it's very controversial and
difficult to define. Because you basically put in the word 'beauty', that in
itself is as they say; "in the eye of the beholder". But we'll just go
with the general media's version of beauty in this case, since you mentioned TV.
Talent is a natural ability or skill to be precise. To say beauty is a skill is
simply ridiculous and very vain. Though I always have a negative view of the
media, for it's way of saying what is beautiful and influencing people. However
I agree it takes a lot of work to be this version of beauty, it doesn't come
naturally like some may think. Is it talent? No, talent is a skill, such as
playing piano, singing, drawing, etc. Beauty is a word to describe how something
looks, that isn't an ability to do an action naturally.
Yeah, whatever group was largest or most growing got deleted... ah well. As long
as the problem is fixed long-term is all that matters. It could of been much
worse.
My only complaint is I had to browse through the messy forum to find out what
was happening.

Oh, well, compared to a forum admin. A group admin there isn't much privileges.
You can moderate the group just the group moderators, meaning changing the roles
of aspirants to group member, mods, admin, vice versa. Being an admin you can
edit the page content, this helps if you known CSS and HTML, make announcements.

I'm not sure if I can replace you, but I can help with grafics, design, css code
and so~
Lol, I think that's pretty darn good. I was going to make a new layout, but I
had no time.
I'm sorry to announce that I will be backing down from my position of group
admin of the SOS-Dan group. I have many important assignments happening in my
life going on, and I can't miss any more opportunities. So that being said, I
will gladly give someone else my position, that is preferably someone with group
experience, because I'm not the only admin there. Fluke and Keough are also,
though Fluke is kinda busy himself. So I don't want to leave the group all
deserted and inactive.
I don't think it's fair to say School Days was the cause, considering it wasn't
even played the last episode yet. They most likely felt playing such a scene
would be disrespectful, and might give people ideas. Mind you, violence has been
apart of films for a long time, only people with some wires loose will cause
such acts in real life.
As for the Makoto getting it with all the girls, I think you should hear high
school students talking now, most of them have already lost their virginity and
are proud of it, people have no shame or respect for themselves.
On another note, there's gonna be a School Days PS2 game LxH (Love x Hate) I
think it's a game adaption to the PC game. Why only now? Who knows ... But it's
coming out January 2008 in Japan.
I think to fully appreciate School Days anime, you should be a fan of the game.
Unfortunately it is one of those hgames where you have to be 18+, which some
will not want to play. Because the anime is based off this visual novel type
game, and unlike the others it is fully animated and has 28 different endings.
So each time you play with a different path, you'll get a different
outcome.
The anime is really based hardcore off the game, it takes many variations and
merged it, whereas some outcomes didn't happen in one path during the game. For
example:
Spoiler:
Sekai getting stabbed by Kotonoha is an ending on it's own
for one pathway, while Makoto still lives, and it is done on a
bridge.
. And the whole Makoto having it with everyone only comes to
if you're completely undecisive about Sekai and Kotonoha, so you'll get the
ending "Everyone's Makoto."
Anyway, this is like maybe one of the few anime where you'll most likely HATE
the main character, Makoto. And it is not your typical harem type either, it's
not all comedy and fluff, it's pretty ecchi, and the last episode had to be
edited due to real life circumstances. Which has marked School Days as
memorable.
Some people just hated the whole anime throughout and liked the ending, others
not at all. But myself, I thought it was good, not amazing. It's one of the few
anime I saw based off a game so closely. Though I didn't like that Sekai got
killed, because she's my favourite character in the game (not so much in the
anime, but still more than Kotonoha).
I see this anime as being in the below average range from reviews, it's either a
love or hate, but most people hated it.
Naturally, we all get disappointed, our expectations must be too high sometimes,
or it's just plain bad.
My recent disappointment would be Code Geass, I held off seeing this anime for a
while. As it was overly hyped, I felt reluctant to see it. But I decided to give
a try, first few episodes was alright, but I couldn't really get into it. I
don't like how the mechs are, or any of the characters, and I liked Gundam Seed
a whole lot better than Code Geass. I couldn't even bring myself to finish CG, I
heard some people like and hate it. Can't say I hate it, but it's not for me.
And another would be Darker than Black, it was really getting good. One of my
favourites of this year, but the ending didn't resolve anything! They opened so
much in the story, only to leave it at almost nothing in the end, majorly
disappointed in that one, because it was a really great series I thought. One of
the more original storylines of this year, but they couldn't keep the story
steady unfortunately.
Lastly, the worst anime I saw this year was Devil May Cry. Big big fan of the
game ... I knew it was gonna be trash most likely, but never expected it to be
that bad.
Heh, it's just better to not start at all. As being younger and stupid, I did
used to smoke, because I felt the peer pressure with my friends at the time,
plus it was a very very stressful time. Eventually I felt my body get more
useless, I had trouble walking up stairs and doing anything physical ... I felt
sick most of the time, and needed the nicotine "fix". That was my wake
up call, I thought I couldn't go on like this and it can only get worse as I get
older. So being only a smoker for 3 months, it was a good time to stop.
I did it cold turkey, very stupid too. I was so sick from nicotine withdrawals,
big pain in my stomach for days, within two weeks the withdrawals got less and
less. I don't plan on going back to smoking cigarettes either, was smart to stop
early on the game.
Around here they recently banned smoking in public places, like restaurants.
Which is a good thing, you can finally go eat out without breathing smoke in, as
people know second-hand smoking is worse. Anyway, just don't even start, no
matter how "cool" it looks, haha, trust me. People who smoke for like
30 years look disgusting, if they're still alive that is.
Not the same animation studio or artists at all. Just a big coincidence me
thinks, yep.
Often I've seen some people who don't know of both shows get confused between
the two, without looking closely.
Although I wished Amber got more showtime and developement. Both characters are
cool, but different. And C.C doesn't get younger, lol.
A gruesome ending should be expected, since it's an adaption of School Days the
game. If you choose bad paths, you get what you deserve in the end, one of the
bloody endings. Summer Days is supposed to be without any violent
endings.
I found the ending pretty creepy, even as much as I hated Makoto, and said
"He deserved it". I sorta felt sorry for him, cos of how they depicted
the scene, it was scary as how it would be in real life circumstances. I thought
the Sekai dying was a bit much ... I mean one death should of been enough, I
personally think she was pregnant, from early episodes, she threw up and recalls
missing her period.
As stated in above posts, you can't see a baby develope inside so soon. I won't
rewatch this anime, and even though it was terrible in a moral sense ... Can't
say I'll forget it either. Watching it first hand after the delay, I could tell
the flashbacks weren't there originally, and it was edited further, seems I was
right for the most part.
I've been trying to think who I liked in the anime, each character had something
I didn't like. Katsura was a likeable character, being the victim and not
cheating, but I wished she stuck up more for herself instead of going psycho in
the end, lol.
By no means was the final episode made for the faint heart, I wonder what
they'll do for the DVD release. Like if they'll put the edited one on or not.
Oh, I thought this was one of those "I'm leaving MT threads" lol,
title was deceiving.
I've been a member for almost 3 years, which is crazy as far as I noticed just
now. But as for people leaving without warning, it happens, just like every
online community you go to. You cannot expect people to be there forever, we get
older and life goes on, gets hectic, or you feel less interested in the
community for w/e reason.
My personal experience here, yes I lost a lot of cool MT friends I used to know
quite well, they're busy with other things probably. And since then I became
less active, and there's way too many members now to get to know well. Although
since then I did make some new ones. I was gone from MT for a few months here
and there, due to my work schedules and schooling, so maybe I was one of those
people leaving too xP lol.
In any case, I still remember the good ol' times, and I do still talk to the
people I've known here since the beginning. Two who I keep in contact quite
regularly is Keough and Narutofan, haha. Whom I never thought I'd become so
close to after these couple of years. But yeah as the saying goes "Life
goes on"~
It's not a bug, I'm pretty sure once you make a new skin, the other one becomes
obsolete.
That's why you should copy your css codes and stuff if you want to switch back
to the old one.
Notice you don't see the same usernames twice in the list?
Would be bad for MT's space if it kept old unused skins.
Hi Hanazaki,
You should use imageshack.us instead of photobucket, it only allows 800x600 max
... And MT takes 1024x768 at the least! So I hope you just had it resized for
that, or you'll have to redo it again, not fun.
Well I see you used some brushes in the background, looks pretty good.
I don't like the text, then again I'm not a fan of text in wallpapers ... Maybe
change the font, make it smaller.
The moon seems a bit out of place, the lack of colour is kind of boring. Perhaps
get a coloured scan (or don't colour filter over the one you have if that's the
case) Just the background and characters will POP out more.
It's coming along, hope some of this at least helps.
Hi KawaiLynz, I understand you're probably new around here.
I think a good suggestion before you submit a wallpaper/doujinshi here read the
MT Policy. Look under the
Gallery part. Now if it still seems a bit confusing, check out other
submissions, see the quality in them, and effort. You can always put stuff in
the Sandbox for works in progress.
A simple gradient BG isn't enough effort to be put into a wallpaper here. MT is
a large site and gallery, and you got to understand they can't have everything
submitted here, there needs to be limits, and that means quality
control.
Besides the gradient, using random images resized and scattered isn't enough
either. They also happen to be bad quality, grainy, and jagged. I'm not saying
your wallpaper is terrible, it's a nice attempt, just keep experimenting with
things, learn to extract maybe if you can, take your time.
Well I think putting them as retired mods was a way of showing appreciation, and
letting people know they WERE mods in the past. It may be a nice idea, but what
would they write? and who? Wikipedia used to have an article on Minitokyo,
mentioned some history, but now it's gone.
Maybe you can give us a better idea of what history you're talking
about?

No problem, thanks for replying.
